Kazakhstan exports 9 mln tonnes of 2024 harvest grain, 60% more than last yearKazakhstan exported 9 million tonnes of grain from the 2024 harvest during the period from September 2024 to June 2025. This represents a 60% increase compared to the same period in 2023-2024, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.The main export destinations traditionally remain Central Asian countries and the near abroad.During the reporting period grain was exported to: Uzbekistan: 3.3 million tonnes (+32%); Tajikistan: 1.2 million tonnes (+45%); Iran: 974,000 tonnes (17.5-fold increase); Azerbaijan: 707,000 tonnes (116-fold increase); Afghanistan: 309,000 tonnes (+46%); Kyrgyzstan: 233,000 tonnes (+94%).In 2024, Kazakhstan harvested a record 26 million tonnes of grain. The Ministry of Trade of the Republic had forecast exports of grain from the 2024 harvest at 12 million tonnes. (ICE ALMATY)
