The incident began on May 30, 2025, when a Facebook user named ‘Jonny Lieu’ posted images claiming to show substandard meat linked to CP Việt Nam, sparking public concern and widespread online reactions. In response, both central and local authorities launched a thorough investigation. On June 29, 2025, Cần Thơ City Police concluded that CP Việt Nam did not violate any food safety regulations, as per Clause 2, Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The company affirmed that the investigation was objective, independent, and aligned with previous inspections by relevant agencies, reinforcing the transparency and legality of its operations.
