AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY AND FISHERY EXPORTS ACCELERATED TO REACH $65 BILLION
Việt Nam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports reached $33.5 billion in the first half of 2025, up 14.3% year-on-year, with total trade estimated at $57 billion, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE). The sector aims to hit $65 billion by year-end, targeting $14–15 billion in Q3 and over $16 billion in Q4 by leveraging rising holiday demand. Coffee exports surged to $5.5 billion in H1 and are on track to hit $7.5 billion, up 36.9% year-on-year, with expanding focus on Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Cashew exports aim for $4.5 billion, needing growth in regions like the UAE and Saudi Arabia while ensuring compliance with EU sustainability standards. Rubber faces a slight decline to $3.3 billion but will tap into emerging markets and improve quality for EU segments. Livestock exports are expanding, with new access to markets like Japan and Hong Kong, and ongoing negotiations with China, Malaysia, and Singapore. — VNS (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
