Kazakhstan aims to reduce currency sales from National Fund to $600-700 mln in JulyThe National Bank of Kazakhstan expects currency sales from the National Fund for budget transfers to range between $600 million and $700 million in July, the regulator's press service said in a Tuesday press release."Based on preliminary government forecasts for budget transfers, the National Bank anticipates selling $600 million to $700 million in foreign currency from the National Fund in July," the statement says.In June, currency sales from the National Fund totaled $800 million, matching earlier projections. These sales accounted for 17% of total market volume, averaging around $40 million per day.Additionally, quasi-state entities sold approximately $322 million last month under mandatory currency revenue conversion rules.The National Bank did not conduct currency interventions in June of this year.
