Kazakhoil Aktobe produced 193,600 tonnes of oil in Jan-May, aims for 0.7% output increase in 2025Kazakhoil Aktobe LLP, a joint venture between Kazakhstan and China, produced 193,600 tonnes of oil and 329.2 million cubic meters of gas in January-May 2025, National Company KazMunayGas JSC (KMG) said in a Wednesday press release."Oil production for the January-May period reached 193,600 tonnes, while gas output totaled 329.2 million cubic meters, an 8.3% increase. The 2025 target is set at 480,100 tonnes of oil and over 798 million cubic meters of gas," the press release says.In 2024, Kazakhoil Aktobe produced 476,882 tonnes of oil, meeting its annual target. This year, it aims to increase oil output by 0.7% compared to last year. Gas production in 2024 was 6% above the target, reaching 806.739 million cubic meters.The company is currently conducting drilling operations at the Alibekmola and Kozhasai fields, along with geological and technical measures (GTM) to enhance oil recovery."The projected additional oil output from drilling, GTM and pilot production in 2025 is expected to amount to 45,100 tonnes, surpassing the initial target of 40,400 tonnes," the press release says.KazakhOil Aktobe LLP, which develops the Alibekmola and Kozhasai oil fields in the Aktobe region, west Kazakhstan, is among the largest oil producers in Kazakhstan. The company is owned by Kazakhstan’s National Company KazMunayGas and China’s Sinopec Caspian Investments Resources Ltd on a parity basis. (ICE ALMATY)
