Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a major expansion of the Burj Khalifa-Dubai Mall Metro Station to increase capacity by 65%, growing the station’s area from 6,700 to 8,500 square metres and enabling it to handle up to 220,000 passengers daily. The upgrade, in collaboration with Emaar, includes wider platforms, more entry points, escalators, and fare gates, as well as improved integration with public transport and facilities for accessibility.
