Launch of Kazakhstan-made Samsung TVs, washing machines postponed to Aug 2025Kazakh household appliance manufacturer Silk Road Electronics LLP promises to start producing Samsung brand appliances from August 2025, the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan reported."The domestic appliance manufacturer Silk Road Electronics LLP has signed an agreement with Samsung and will launch production of TVs and washing machines of the renowned global brand starting this August," the statement said.In February this year, it was reported that Samsung and Silk Road Electronics had signed an agreement stipulating that the first Samsung TVs assembled in Kazakhstan would go on sale in Q2 2025."Cooperation with Samsung is a major milestone in our development. Last year, we transitioned from semi-knocked down (SKD) to completely knocked down (CKD) assembly. We have full-cycle production with a high level of localization. In 2026, we will launch a stamping shop. By the middle of next year, all technologies will be launched, and localization will become even higher," said Alexander Kritskiy, Director of Silk Road Electronics LLP.The company head also mentioned that currently about 300 people work there, with plans to increase staff to 1,100 by 2028.It was noted that the enterprise is in its second year of operation and has so far produced over 270,000 appliances: TVs, mini-ovens, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, kitchen hoods, etc. The products are sold in the Kazakh market and CIS countries under the brands Artel, Royal, Shivaki, and Vesta.
