Change in tariff for oil transportation via CPC not under discussion - head of consortiumThe shareholders of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium are not yet considering the issue of changing the tariff for oil transportation through the system, CPC CEO Nikolai Gorban told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025."We have a single, standard tariff, and there are no discussions on changing the tariff to date. You know that one of the shareholders raised this issue in the context of greater dividend returns, though the matter thus far has not been actively discussed, because we have our own specific dividend policy. "We are not allocating 50%, 70%, 25% [of net profit], we distribute everything that remains to us," he said.PJSC Transneft (MOEX: TRNF), one of CPC's shareholders, reported in November 2024 that the CPC management bodies had discussed proposals to increase the financial return of the project. Details were not provided.Gorban emphasized that CPC pays special attention to issues of optimizing the system's operation."We are constantly engaged in optimization, namely that we are cutting some items. For example, we refused to build an additional berth wall at our sea terminal. When we analyzed it, we realized that it was inappropriate, and we are coping quite well. This is a saving. We refused to build a new AHB [administrative and household building] there, at the sea terminal. So we are following the program, we are reviewing many things," Gorban said. (ICE ALMATY)
