POLISH COMPANIES FEAR OF CYBERATTACKS AND LOOK FOR METHODS TO PROTECT THEMSELVE

One in two businesses still do not know how to protect themselves from hacker attacks. Entities that fall victim to them often pay a ransom, but later on 70 percent of them are attacked again anyway. Cyber threats have become so widespread and so dangerous that companies from all industries have started to look for methods to protect their businesses. This results in a growing demand not only for cyber security systems, but also for special insurance policies to protect against the consequences of such incidents. According to SkyQuest forecasts, this part of the insurance market is expected to grow at a rate of 20 percent a year. Demand is fuelled by the growing fear of entrepreneurs. In Poland, one in four fears that if their company was attacked, they would have to close it down. Mastercard's research shows that 40 per cent of domestic chief executives consider the risk of cyber fraud to be the biggest threat they face in business. And this is the highest score in Europe.
