Kazakhstan’s agricultural output grows 4% in January-MayKazakhstan’s agricultural production reached 1.31 trillion tenge in January-May 2025, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Bureau of National Statistics under the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.The livestock sector accounted for 1.2 trillion tenge, up 4.2% year-on-year, while crop production remained steady at 68 billion tenge.As of June 1, cattle numbers rose 23.4% to 9.65 million head, sheep increased 8.8% to 24 million, horses grew 12.2% to 5 million, and poultry edged up 2.2% to 47.7 million. However, goat herds declined 1.8% to 2.3 million, and pig inventories dropped 3.8% to 543,500. (ICE ALMATY)
