Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani on Sunday discussed efforts to reduce regional tensions and revive negotiations aimed at resolving the Iranian nuclear issue.During a phone call, the two ministers emphasised the importance of unified international efforts to end the ongoing escalation, which they warned is pushing the Middle East further towards conflict and instability, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.Safadi stressed the need to keep the Israeli aggression on Gaza and its resulting humanitarian catastrophe at the forefront of international priorities, warning against allowing international focus to shift solely to the recent escalation following Israel’s strike on Iran.He also underscored that any regional de-escalation must address the root causes of instability.The two ministers also reviewed bilateral relations, reaffirming the strength of the partnership between Jordan and Italy.
