Air Products from U.S. explores investment in Kazakhstan’s gas chemical industryKazakhstan’s National Company QazaqGaz and U.S.-based Air Products have discussed joint gas chemical projects in the republic, QazaqGaz said in a Thursday press release.The talks between the leadership of Air Products and QazaqGaz.took place in Astana at QazaqGaz headquarters."Both parties discussed opportunities for joint implementation of large-scale gas chemical projects in Kazakhstan," the press release says.The delegation of Air Products was led by Ivo Bols, president for Europe and Africa, and included Vaclav Harrant, vice president for Central Europe and Central Asia, and Arthur Gazizyanov, business development director.Air Products, founded in 1940, is a global leader in technical solutions for energy, metallurgy and chemistry. The company operates in 50 countries all over the world.QazaqGaz, a subsidiary of Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, manages Kazakhstan’s gas pipeline network, oversees domestic and international gas sales, and develops gas transportation and storage infrastructure.
