This year, Orlen Group plans to spend PLN35.3 billion on investments. Most of it – PLN10.4 billion, will be allocated to the upstream & supply business, projects related to oil and gas exploration and production in Norway. The most important of these are the development of Eirin, Fenris and Yggdrasil fields, as well as completion of a third phase of development of Ormen Lange field. A relatively large amount of money will be spent on expanding and modernizing the power and gas network. The strategy until 2035 assumes that the group will allocate more than PLN60 billion to this purpose. Plans also include the construction of photovoltaic farms in Poland and Lithuania and also gas and steam power units in Ostrołęka and Grudziądz, that should start operating as early as next year.
