WB maintains Kazakhstan's 2025 GDP growth forecast at 4.5%The World Bank (WB) has maintained its forecast for Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 2025 at 4.5%, and at 3.6% for 2026, according to its June Global Economic Prospects report.Thus, the WB confirmed the forecasts previously announced in April.In 2024, according to the WB's estimate, the country's GDP growth was 4.8%, slowing down compared to 5.1% in 2023.Kazakhstan's GDP grew by 6% in January-May 2025, according to First Vice Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin.The country's National Bank forecasts Kazakh economic growth in 2025-2026 at 4.2-5.2%. The Asian Development Bank, in its April review, downgraded its GDP growth forecast for the republic in 2025 to 4.9% (from 5.1% in September 2024), while maintaining its forecast for 2026 at 4.1%. The International Monetary Fund lowered its forecast for Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 2025 to 4.9% from 5.5%, and raised its 2026 forecast to 4.3% from 4.1%. (ICE ALMATY)
