Bank DBS Indonesia and Bank UOB Indonesia have jointly provided a IDR6.7 trillion (US$412 million) loan to fund Indonesia’s largest rupiah-financed data center project, a collaboration between DayOne and the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA). Located at Nongsa Digital Park in Batam, the campus will host three advanced data centers with a total IT load capacity of 72.4 MW—equivalent to 5% of Southeast Asia’s projected data center capacity by 2029. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, the facility is designed to support AI technologies and accelerate digital transformation. The project reinforces Indonesia’s role in the growing Singapore-Johor-Batam digital corridor, a region expected to account for half of Southeast Asia’s data center demand by 2030.
