BÀ RỊA-VŨNG TÀU ATTRACTS HIGH-TECH, ECO-FRIENDLY PROJECTS

Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province is focusing on attracting high-tech, environmentally friendly industrial projects to boost productivity, product quality, and sustainability. Prioritising investments with clean technologies, low labour intensity, and high added value, the province has seen the development of advanced facilities like the Hòa Phát Container Manufacturing Plant, Southeast Asia’s largest ISO container producer, and Viglacera’s Ultra-Clear Float Glass Plant, both using automation and European technology. Global firms such as Hyosung, Austal, Marubeni, and Samsung have also invested. The province hosts 621 industrial zone projects, including 326 foreign-invested ones with total capital exceeding US$16 billion. To support this growth, infrastructure projects such as expressways, bridges, and port links are being upgraded. Authorities are offering tax incentives, fee reductions, and dedicated investor support teams to aid capital disbursement and tackle business challenges. The province also urges existing firms to modernise operations with clean technologies. (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
