The fund's ownership structure provides for 51% for Italian venture investors and SIMEST (a subsidiary of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti) and 49% for the Kazakh holding company Baiterek," the statement said following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and the founder of Tramite Group Gianantonio Tramite.The goal of the project is to build a reliable logistics and investment platform that will open access to the markets of Europe and other regions for Kazakh producers, the statement said. The range of exports includes grain, meat, vegetable oils, legumes, dairy products, dried fruits, vegetables and fruit puree. The sales geography covers the EU countries, Russia, the CIS, China, Southeast Asia, the Persian Gulf and the USA.Tramite Group offers a comprehensive approach to cooperation: investments in the infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, long-term procurement contracts with leading European companies such as Parmafood, Inalpi, Sterilgarda and Zanetti, as well as joint supply chain management. According to Tramite, seven large Italian food industry companies have already expressed interest in localizing their production in Kazakhstan.The key point of discussion was the cluster project Export Agro-Industrial Cluster Shardara in the Turkestan region, implemented by AGRIQA Asia LLP. From 2024 to 2028, 200 million euros will be invested in the project. It includes the construction of a 22-hectare greenhouse complex, a fruit and vegetable processing plant, an alfalfa granulation plant, a tomato plant and the development of an agricultural division with development of 8,000 hectares of land for drip irrigation.Vice Prime Minister Zhumangarin, on behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan, expressed full readiness to support the initiative to create a Kazakh-Italian investment fund for the development of the agro-industrial complex.Tramite Group was founded in 1993 and is engaged in the distribution of food, beverages and non-food products through retail chains in Italy and other countries.
