Kazakhstan-France trade grows by 31% in 2024Bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and France surged 31% year-on-year to an all-time high of $5.5 billion in 2024, the Kazakh government announced Wednesday during the Kazakhstan-France Investment Forum in Astana.French investments in Kazakhstan are nearing $20 billion, with more than 200 French-affiliated companies operating in the country."Cooperation with France is one of the top priorities of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy and an integral part of our partnership with the EU. Our countries share a strong and multifaceted partnership, characterized by robust political ties, active intergovernmental and parliamentary dialogue, and dynamic trade and investment relations," Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said, speaking at the forum.Following the forum, several agreements are expected to be signed, covering energy, transportation, healthcare, and water resource management.
