KAZAKHSTAN-WHEAT-PRICES-CONTRACTS
Kazakh exporters signed contracts to supply wheat at $182-237 per tonneLast week, Kazakh exporters concluded contracts to supply wheat at prices ranging from $182 to $237 per tonne, according to Yevgeny Karabanov, head of the Grain Union’s Analytics Committee, in his Telegram channel.Several export deals took place on the ETS commodity exchange last week: 3rd class wheat with 26% gluten, under DAP (Delivered at Place) terms at Sarayagash station: 3,000 tonnes at 121,247 tenge/tonne, excluding VAT ($237); Non-class wheat: 1,800 tonnes at 100,020 tenge/tonne, excluding VAT ($196); 4th class wheat under DAP terms at Turksib station: 2,100 tonnes at 92,630 tenge/tonne, excluding VAT ($182).A week earlier, only one export deal for 3rd class wheat (23% gluten) was recorded on ETS: 2,100 tonnes sold at 104,562 tenge/tonne, excluding VAT ($205).“The grain export market remains stable. Importers are not yet ready to raise prices, anticipating their own harvests, which will be smaller than last year’s due to drought,” Karabanov said.Meanwhile, domestic prices for standard 3rd class wheat (23% gluten), as well as 4th and 5th class wheat, have risen slightly. Karabanov attributes this to increased demand from feed flour producers and exporters. The total trading volume on the exchange last week reached 14,800 tonnes. (ICE ALMATY)
