Poland ranks fourth in Europe in terms of the value of toy production. They are mainly sold to other EU markets, but exports to China have grown by far the strongest in the last year. The main recipients of Polish toys are Germany, the Czech Republic, France and other EU markets. Exports to the USA increased by 1,013 per cent year-on-year to €78 million and by a record 392 per cent to China. This market, however, still receives a relatively small portion of Polish production, at €23 million. "Despite a moderate decline in exports in 2024, the Polish toy industry has maintained its stability and strong position on foreign markets. The 12 per cent reduction in the value of exports is a result of the global slowdown, which has affected most of the world's largest exporters. Today, the Polish toy sector is a mature industry with relatively stable demand and a wide range of customers," says Radosław Jarema, director of the Polish branch of Akcenty. (ICE VARSAVIA)
