Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel met with a Vietnamese business delegation led by the Thai Binh Group on May 16 to strengthen bilateral economic ties. The sides explored expanding cooperation in Cuba’s priority sectors, with Vietnam reaffirming its commitment to the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM)—a key hub for Cuba’s economic growth. Thai Binh Group, an early Asian investor in ZEDM, operates multi-sector factories and a 20 MW solar park.
