Bình Định Province plans to invest VNĐ7.6 trillion (US$292.3 million) by 2030 to upgrade its seaport system to handle 50,000DWT vessels and improve cargo capacity. Key projects include renovating navigation channels, expanding wharves, and developing anchorage and service facilities. The investment will be split between public infrastructure (VNĐ1.3 trillion) and commercial port upgrades (VNĐ6.3 trillion). By 2030, Bình Định ports are expected to handle 17.65–18.75 million tonnes of cargo, including 0.32–0.37 million TEUs and up to 200,000 passengers.
