Kazakhstan boosts grain product shipments to China 27% from Sept to AprilKazakhstan is boosting grain exports to China, having increased shipments by 27% over the past nine months, the press service of the Republic’s Ministry of Agriculture reported."Over two marketing years (2023/2024), annual grain product supplies to China amounted to 1.4 million tonnes. However, from September 2024 to April 2025, exports grew by 27%, reaching 1.859 million tonnes," the ministry’s press service said.In total, agricultural trade between Kazakhstan and China in 2024 reached $1.4 billion, marking a 10.5% increase.The main export items were feed, grains, oilseeds, and vegetable oils. Feed exports to China surged by 485% in 2024, vegetable oils by 26%, and rapeseed oil by 57%.From January to March 2025, agricultural trade reached $ 430.5 million (45% increase), while export accounted for $301.4 million (42% increase).Additionally, Kazakhstan has initiated updates to existing veterinary and phytosanitary protocols, inspections of domestic livestock enterprises, and expanded market access to China for crop products such as rice, cotton seeds, melons, and mung beans.
