Speakers stressed the need for SMEs to receive timely financial support, improve compliance, and build traceability systems. Vietnam’s reliance on FDI and limited SME capacity further complicate adaptation to shifting global supply chains. Alarmingly, business closures surged in early 2025. Experts advised stronger domestic supply chain linkages, ESG adoption, digital transformation, and better use of free trade agreements. Officials also encouraged firms to tap into Vietnam’s large domestic market.
