KazTransOil raises export tariff for MunayTas pipelineThe export tariff for Northwest Pipeline Company MunayTas LLP has been set at 11,300 tenge per tonne per 1,000 km excluding VAT compared with the previous tariff of 5,910 tenge, KazTransOil said in a press release.The increased tariff, effective May 19, 2025, reflects the need to transition to a more economically justified pricing model, the company said."As part of optimization of its tariff policy, KazTransOil has conducted a comprehensive review of the export tariff for Northwest Pipeline Company MunayTas LLP along the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline in order to align the tariff with the transportation terms and conditions of KazTransOil," the press release says.Most of MunayTas’ transportation volumes are directed toward the domestic market, while the new tariff applies exclusively to export routes, according to the press release.Northwest Pipeline Company MunayTas LLP is a joint venture between KazTransOil (51%) and CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd. (49%).KazTransOil JSC, part of National Company KazMunayGas, is a natural monopolist in the sector of oil transportation through pipelines.
