The National Assembly has reviewed investment plans for two major expressway projects. The proposed Quy Nhơn – Pleiku Expressway, a 125-km four-lane road costing approximately VNĐ43.73 trillion (US$1.68 billion), aims to boost connectivity and economic growth in the Central Highlands and south-central regions. Lawmakers emphasized the need for careful route planning, cost efficiency, and phased construction based on traffic projections. The NA also approved adjustments to Phase 1 of the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu Expressway, increasing its budget by 20.8% to VNĐ21.55 trillion (US$830.5 million), due to higher land compensation and construction costs.
