VIETNAMESE BUSINESSES LOOKING FOR INVESTMENT AND COOPERATION IN THE US
From May 11–14, 2025, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and over 100 Vietnamese enterprises attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit in the United States, marking one of the largest foreign delegations. Ranking third in size, the delegation included firms from IT, telecommunications, energy, industry, agriculture, environment, interior design, and tourism. Key participants included Petrovietnam, FPT Corporation, and Vietnam Rubber Group.Vietnamese businesses aimed to strengthen economic ties and explore investment opportunities in the US, with goals of job creation and long-term cooperation. They engaged with US economic development agencies, states, and regions to seek partnerships and expand operations.Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan participated in two key plenary sessions focusing on US economic strengths—workforce, innovation, and national security—and on the strategic role of AI and emerging technologies in attracting foreign investment.On the sidelines, Tuan emphasized Vietnam’s commitment to boosting bilateral investment and trade with the US. At a meet-and-greet event, Ashok Pinto, CEO of the Summit, conveyed appreciation from President Donald Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, affirming the US's support for stronger, sustainable trade ties and investment cooperation with Vietnam.
