Ministry of Water and Irrigation spokesperson Omar Salama said on Wednesday that more than $1 billion has been allocated to make the national carrier project a success. He added that several countries have supported the national carrier project, and "we are still in the process of completing it." Salama noted that negotiations related to the project will conclude before the end of this year, and implementation will begin on the ground in 2026, with water supply to the kingdom’s regions beginning in 2030.
