US Department of Agriculture lowers Kazakhstan's wheat export forecast for 2025-2026 by 20%The US Department of Agriculture has published its first outlooks for grain harvest and export in the new marketing year of July 2025 to June 2026.According to the May report from the US Department of Agriculture, Kazakhstan will export 8 million tonnes of grain in 2025-2026 vs. 10 million tonnes in the previous marketing year. This would be a 20% decrease.The forecast for wheat exports was revised downward to 14.5 million tonnes compared with 18.58 million tonnes in the previous season. Import projections remain flat at 500,000 tonnes.The grain harvest outlook for the current marketing year is at 18 million tonnes or no change from the December report.The grain stock as at the beginning of the 2025-2026 marketing year is estimated at 4.22 million tonnes.
