Container shipments along China-Iran route via Kazakhstan grew 2.6-fold in Jan-April 2025Container shipments along the China-Iran route via Kazakhstan grew 2.6-fold in January-April 2025 compared to the same period last year, the press service of National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (KTZ) reported.The press service said that these figures were announced during a six-party meeting of representatives from the railways of Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Turkey in Tehran.During the meeting, the KTZ press service added, the parties reached an agreement on joint measures to boost container traffic along this route. They confirmed their readiness to provide comprehensive support for promoting the corridor in the international transportation market.The parties also approved competitive tariff conditions and agreed on key parameters for organizing train operations, including maintaining the approved total delivery time along the entire route.Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is a state-controlled transport and logistics company.
