INDONESIA LAUNCHES CREATIVE ECONOMY INVESTMENT FUND
Indonesia has launched a 5 trillion IDR (approximately USD 312.5 million) investment fund to boost its creative economy and position the country as a global hub for cultural innovation. Announced at a ceremony in Jakarta, the initiative was marked by the signing of a cooperation memorandum between former Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno and United Media Asia. Culture Minister Fadli Zon emphasized the fund's alignment with the national goal of fostering sustainable and inclusive cultural development, aiming to benefit communities across Indonesia. The fund will prioritize investments in local content creation, talent development, digital platforms, education, and infrastructure, with a focus on high-quality film and TV production, vocational training, and innovation centers. Sandiaga highlighted the potential of Indonesia’s film industry to generate jobs and drive economic growth, while promoting the country's rich cultural values to global audiences. This move is part of a broader strategy to expand the creative economy’s contribution to GDP and employment.Source: https://en.vietnamplus.vn/indonesia-launches-creative-economy-investment-fund-post318769.vnp (ICE GIACARTA)
