New poultry processing plant set to launch in Zhambyl region in 2025A new poultry processing facility with 75,000-tonne annual capacity is under construction in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region, with operations scheduled to begin in September 2025, the Agriculture Ministry announced Thursday.The 15.6 billion tenge project by Alel Agro will establish a full production cycle: from poultry farming and feed production to meat processing. When fully operational, the plant will supply both domestic and export markets, allocating 60% of production for local consumption and 40% for overseas sales.Construction is nearing completion on key components, including a 20-tonne-per-hour feed mill, poultry farms with 10,000-tonne annual capacity, and a processing line handling 1,500 birds hourly.Ministry officials confirmed the main production complex remains on track for its September 2025 opening.
