Kazakhstan will produce 2 mln bpd of oil in 2025, 2.1 mln in 2026 - IMFKazakhstan’s average daily oil production is expected to rise to 2 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2025 (up from 1.8 million bpd in 2024) and to 2.1 million bpd in 2026, according to the May Regional Economic Outlook for the Middle East and Central Asia published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).Kazakhstan will have boosted the oil production to 2.2 million bpd by 2030, according to the IMF’s report.However, the report doesn’t provide data on Kazakhstan’s gas production or oil exports.Kazakhstan’s fiscal breakeven oil price -- a level at which state revenues balance expenditures -- is forecast at $121.2 per barrel in 2025, $128.1 in 2026 and $100.9 in 2030.As previously reported, the Kazakh government has three scenarios for the country’s 2025-2027 social and economic development plan based on oil prices: a baseline scenario with the assumed oil price of $75 per barrel, a crisis scenario -- $75 per barrel and a contingency plan in case the oil prices drop to $50-55 per barre.Kazakhstan’s government budget for 2024-2026 was based on an oil price assumption of $80 per barrel.
