Kazakhstan's Business Activity Index improved to 50.5 points in AprilKazakhstan's Business Activity Index went up by 0.1 point to 50.5 in April 2025 compared with 50.4 in March 2025, the National Bank of the republic said in a press release on Friday.The growth continued in manufacturing and trade, with the index remaining in the positive zone at 52.9 and 51.1, respectively, compared to 54.0 and 51.1 in March, according to the regulator.The services sector showed improved momentum but stayed in the negative zone of 49.9 in April compared with 48.9 in March.Readings below the 50-point level mean a sector is contracting.Meanwhile, the construction sector slowed down, with the index coming down to 48.7 from 49.7.The mining sector remained nearly unchanged at 48.5 compared to 48.6 in March, with both the construction and mining industries reporting declines in the number of new orders.The Business Climate Index, which is an average of the current and future business conditions, rose to 13,6 points in April of this year from 11.8 points in the previous month, driven by improved assessment of the existing business environment to 4.2 points.
