Kazakhstan boosts cargo transshipment via Batumi seaport by 22% to 1.847 mln tonnes in Jan-MarchThe volume of cargo transshipment handled by Batumi Oil Terminal LLP and Batumi Sea Port LLP in January-March reached 1.847 million tonnes, which is 335,000 tonnes more than in the first quarter of 2024, KazTransOil JSC said in a statement.The Batumi Sea Port includes an oil terminal with an annual capacity of up to 15 million tonnes. Additionally, the port features a container terminal with an annual throughput of 200,000 TEU and a dry cargo terminal with a capacity of 2 million tonnes per year.KazTransOil JSC directly owns and manages production assets in Georgia through Batumi Oil Terminal LLP.KazTransOil JSC is Kazakhstan’s national operator for main oil pipelines and is part of the NC KazMunayGas JSC group. It owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines spanning 5,200 km and provides operator services for third-party pipelines exceeding 5,000 km in length. (ICE ALMATY)
