INDONESIA TARGETS TWO NEW LPG FACILITIES BY END OF 2025 TO CUT IMPORTS

In order to curb Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) imports, Indonesia is set to launch two new LPG processing plants by the end of 2025 in the Jambi Merang and Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) areas, both managed by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi. The plants will produce a combined 380 metric tons of LPG daily, supporting efforts to increase domestic production and reduce import reliance. Alongside this, experts like Yayan Satyakti highlight the importance of keeping LPG affordable for households. The government is also focused on expanding gas fields, such as the Akatara project, to further support LPG production and energy needs, with Jambi identified as a key region for future development.Source: https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/kurangi-impor-pemerintah-targetkan-2-fasilitas-lpg-baru-beroperasi-pada-akhir-2025 (ICE GIACARTA)
