INDONESIA SETS MARCH 2025 OIL PRICE AT US$71.11 AMID GLOBAL MARKET PRESSURE
Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has set the March 2025 Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) at USD 71.11 per barrel, a 4.28% drop from February’s USD 74.29. The decline reflects falling global oil prices, influenced by concerns over rising U.S. trade tariffs potentially slowing global economic growth and dampening oil demand. This adjustment is formalized in Ministerial Decree Number 143.K/MG.01/MEM/2025, dated April 16, 2025. Additional pressure on prices comes from Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) plans to boost oil production in April, rising U.S. crude inventories, and reduced refinery activity in the U.S. and Europe due to seasonal maintenance. In Asia, China’s teapot refineries are pulling back on sanctioned crude purchases amid fears of U.S. sanctions, while traders await developments in Russia-Ukraine peace talks. Major global benchmarks, including Brent, WTI, and the OPEC Basket, also recorded declines in March.Source: https://business-indonesia.org/news/indonesia-sets-march-2025-crude-oil-price-at-usd-71-11-per-barrel-amid-global-market-pressures (ICE GIACARTA)
