The total volume of construction work completed in Ukraine in 2024 rose by 15.5% compared to the previous year, reaching ₴204.7B, against a 25% increase in 2023. The non-residential construction sector displayed the highest growth among all segments of the construction industry last year. Specifically, the construction of commercial real estate was quite active: More than 500,000 square meters of new retail space were completed during the year, and another 768,500 square meters are currently under construction. The focus in non-residential construction has shifted to the western and central regions of Ukraine, with notable activity in Kyiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia. Meanwhile, a significant decline was observed in the formerly industrially developed eastern and southern regions, such as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Odesa.
