Kazakhstan’s fixed capital investments grow 6.3% in Q1 2025Fixed capital investments in Kazakhstan rose to 3.068 trillion tenge in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 6.3% year-on-year increase, the Bureau of National Statistics reported.The industrial sector attracted the largest share of investments at 39.2%, led by extractive industries (19.2%) and manufacturing (12.7%). Other key sectors included real estate (20.6%), transportation and warehousing (13.4%), and education (10.1%).Spending on construction and major infrastructure repairs surged by 21.5% during the period.Domestic funds from businesses remained the primary investment source, totaling 2.072 trillion tenge, while large enterprises contributed 982.2 billion tenge.State budget financing accounted for 21.6% of total investments, followed by bank loans (3.3%) and other borrowed funds (7.6%), including 2.2% from foreign investors.
