Kazakhstan's construction sector shows 16.9% growth in Q1 2025Kazakhstan's construction sector expanded in the first quarter of 2025, with total construction output reaching 1.015 trillion tenge, marking a 16.9% year-on-year increase, the Bureau of National Statistics reported.Construction and installation works rose 14% to 887.9 billion tenge, while capital repair works jumped 49.9% and current repairs increased 33.3%.Builders completed 7,450 structures during the quarter, comprising 6,879 residential buildings and 571 non-residential facilities.The housing sector attracted 609.1 billion tenge in investment, representing 19.9% of total fixed capital investments, with developers' own funds covering 90.9% of financing needs.New residential space commissioned grew 7.4% to 3.729 million square meters, while average construction costs per square meter increased 9.9% year-on-year.
