Kazakh Agriculture Minister criticizes poor fuel, fertilizer supply in southern regionsKazakhstan’s Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov has publicly rebuked southern regional officials for failing to adequately supply farmers with fuel and fertilizers, as the 2025 planting season begins, the ministry reported Tuesday.“The sowing campaign has already begun across all southern regions, yet we continue to see weak organizational work on the ground – the supply of fuel and fertilizers remains inconsistent and poorly coordinated,” Saparov stated. “Several regions have repeatedly failed to meet their obligations under our agricultural roadmap, despite multiple official reminders.”Deputy Minister Yerbol Taszhurekov confirmed ambitious planting targets for the growing season, with Kazakhstan’s total cultivated area set to expand by 413,000 hectares to reach 23.7 million hectares in 2025.
