Kazakhstan to export over 300,000 tonnes of wheat to North Africa, MoroccoKazakhstan aims to export more than 300,000 tonnes of wheat to North Africa and Morocco by the end of the current marketing year (July 2024 to June 2025), the Ministry of Agriculture said in a Monday press release."Preliminary agreements have been reached to supply grain to Morocco and North African countries as part of the republic’s strategy to expand market reach. Shipments to these destinations could exceed 300,000 tonnes of food-grade wheat by the end of this marketing year," the press release says.The ministry noted that the export strategy of Kazakhstan’s Food Corporation focuses on diversifying sales destinations and strengthening its presence in distant markets. Priority destinations include the European Union, the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) and Southeast Asia.Kazakhstan is prepared to quickly ramp up grain supplies to Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Southeast Asian countries, according to the press release.
