Kazakhstan eyes using TITR for grain, meat exports to AfricaKazakhstan aims to leverage the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) to boost exports of grain, meat, and agricultural products to African nations, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu said during talks with Sierra Leone’s top diplomat.According to Foreign Ministry press service, Nurtleu met with Sierra Leone FM Timothy Musa Kabbah, who is making his first official visit to Kazakhstan.Nurtleu noted that Kazakhstan ranks among the world’s top ten grain producer and sees “significant potential” in using the TITR to supply African markets with grain, oilseeds, organic goods, and high-quality meat.The Kazakh Foreign Minister also noted considerable potential for fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, transport and logistics, and healthcare.Following the talks, the two officials signed a cooperation roadmap to advance joint initiatives.The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) is an international transport corridor running through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and on to Turkey and European countries.
