IRAQ INTERESTED IN JOINING INTERNATIONAL SOLAR ALLIANCE
The Iraqi Prime Minister has expressed Iraq's interest in joining the International Solar Alliance (ISA).Mohammed S. Al-Sudani made the comment in a statement following a meeting with India's newly appointed Ambassador to Iraq, Sumin Baghchi.The ISA, headquartered in India, describes itself as a collaborative initiative between India and France aimed at uniting efforts to combat climate change by implementing solar energy solutions.Currently, more than 100 countries are signatories, with more than 90 countries having "ratified to become full members."It says its mission is to unlock $1 trillion in solar investments by 2030 while reducing technology and financing costs.
