Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani chaired a meeting on Sunday to review the reform process for Rafidain Bank and Rasheed Bank, with representatives from Ernst & Young (EY) in attendance. The discussions focused on aligning the banks' operations with international standards, addressing debt repayment mechanisms, and enhancing staff training.The Prime Minister directed the acceleration of banking reforms, instructing bank management to develop strategies for modernization and restructuring. He also reviewed progress on the establishment of Rafidain First Bank [Rafidain Al-Awal Bank], a newly approved financial institution designed to implement advanced banking technologies and international best practices.Ernst & Young presented financial and technical proposals for the new bank, which aims to support government-led financial reforms and contribute to Iraq's economic growth.
