The World Food Programme (WFP) in Iraq has published its Annual Report 2024, highlighting the following key messages:Through strategic partnerships with the Government, WFP introduced innovative nature-based solutions to support climate adaptation through mangrove restoration, community assets, and climate information systems to boost agricultural productivity while strengthening government capacity for emission reduction.WFP has pioneered financial inclusion to empower vulnerable women, youth and smallholder farmers to access better livelihoods, reduce their dependency on aid and foster their economic resilience.WFP advanced the digital transformation of Iraq's social protection by developing the country's first Single Registry platform in the federal and Kurdistan regions and modernizing the electronic public distribution system.
