Kazakhstan to extend ban on liquefied petroleum gas exports for another 6 monthsThe Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan has published a draft order extending the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by road and rail for six months."To introduce a ban on the export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of liquefied petroleum gas (EAEU TN VED code 2711 12 970 0), propane (EAEU TN VED code 2711 12 940 0) and butane (EAEU TN VED code 2711 13 970 0) by road and rail for a period of 6 months," reads the document published in the Open Online Legal Database for public discussion until April 21, 2025.When approved and adopted, the order will come into force on May 14, 2025.As reported, the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas by road has been in force in Kazakhstan since 2017 to prevent the illegal export of cheap fuel intended for the domestic market outside the republic.
