Kazakhstan to create registry of domestic producers in 2025President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ordered that a national registry of domestic manufacturers be created in 2025, the presidential press said in a Tuesday press release.The order was voiced during the president’s meeting with Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, who briefed Tokayev on the ministry’s performance in 2024 and plans for the coming year.Nagaspayev said that last year fixed capital investment and exports of processed goods demonstrated highest growth. He added that the government expects this growth to continue and the industrial production to increase this year.The minister also highlighted the launch of a National Subsoil Use Platform and the digitization of urban development projects. Additional plans include the introduction of a standardized utility billing system in the rural areas and the creation of a geological database using artificial intelligence.Following the meeting, Tokayev tasked the ministry with boosting the output of value-added goods and intensifying efforts to attract investors."Equally critical is ensuring the delivery of planned housing construction, expanding water supply coverage, and digitizing processes in the construction and utility sectors," the press release says.
