Kazakhstan’s construction output grew 12.8% in Jan-FebConstruction output in Kazakhstan totaled 408.1 billion tenge in January-February 2025 or an increase of 12.8% year-over-year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the reporting period, construction and installation works rose by 8.6% to 360.8 billion tenge in value compared to the same period of the previous year, the volume of major repairs grew by 62.6%, and scheduled maintenance went up by 59.6%.As many as 4,478 buildings were put into operation in January – February 2025, including 4,159 residential buildings and 319 non-residential buildings.In January- February 2025 as much as, 362.4 billion tenge were allocated for housing construction. Housing construction expenses accounted for 19.5% of all fixed capital investment. In the financing structure, the own funds of the developers made up 91.1% of all investment in this sector.In January – February 2025, Kazakhstan put into service 1.933 million square meters of new residential floor space or a decrease of 6.8% compared with the same period of the previous year.In the reporting period, average construction costs per square meter increased by 14.7% year-over-year.The population of Kazakhstan tops 20 million people (ICE ALMATY)
