Fixed capital investment in Kazakhstan increased 0.5% in Jan-FebFixed capital investment in Kazakhstan in January- February 2025 edged up by 0.5% to make 1.858 trillion tenge the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.According to the statistics, the most attractive sectors for investment remained industry (40.5% of all fixed capital investment) including extractive industry (22.4%), manufacturing (11%), real estate transactions (20.2%), transportation, warehousing and education (12%).The costs for construction and major repairs of buildings and structures rose by 18.3% YoY.Investment mostly came from equity capital of the business entities, totaling 1.260 trillion tenge in value.Investments of large enterprises in January-February amounted to 652.6 billion tenge.Public money accounted for 21.3% of total investment in January-February 2025, followed by bank loans - 0.2% and other borrowed funds - 7.8% (including 2.8% worth of borrowings from non-residents).
